Scheme water treatment for boiler feed

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Moerk Water were approached to design and construct a water treatment system which treats scheme water to produce 4000 L/hr of boiler feed water. The treatment system makes use of onsite pre-treatment systems (GAC and softeners). The boiler feedwater the system produces complies with a very narrow range of chlorides, has no measurable level of hardness and has a pH above 6.5. The system runs at high recovery (~80%) and is powered by the site electrical grid.

Project Outcomes:

  • The system produces boiler feedwater compliant with very narrow water quality objectives
  • System produces 4000 L/hr using scheme water feed and reverse osmosis treatment
  • The boiler water treatment system will be installed in first quarter 2025
