December 23, 2025 Jeremy Duke

Between the 8th and 12th December 2025, our Director of Operations, Jeremy Duke, represented Moerk Water at the International Water Association’s Water Development Congress and Exhibition (IWA-WDCE 2025) in Bangkok, Thailand.

The congress brought together water professionals from around the world. It provided a forum to share research, emerging technologies and practical approaches. In particular, discussions focused on safe drinking water, sanitation and climate resilience. These themes were especially relevant for communities most affected by water and sanitation challenges.

Throughout the week, sessions explored energy-efficient and sustainable water technologies. They also examined water quality management for climate-resilient cities. In addition, speakers shared scalable solutions for rural and climate-vulnerable communities. Importantly, there was a strong emphasis on real-world application, collaboration and long-term impact.

One of the key highlights was the Emerging Water Leaders Forum. This forum focused on future-proofing water systems through intergenerational collaboration. It also highlighted the importance of community-led solutions and equity in access and participation. Overall, the quality of discussion and depth of expertise were encouraging and closely aligned with the values that guide our work at Moerk Water!

Ultimately, we are proud to have been part of the conversation. We are also grateful for the opportunity to attend IWA-WDCE 2025 and learn alongside others working at the forefront of water resilience and development. The insights gained will help inform how we continue to design and deliver practical, sustainable water solutions for the communities and industries we support.
