Students in East Cape Village enjoying their drinking bottles. In January 2019 Moerk Water installed a 1,000 litres per hour purification system in East Cape Village, Papua New Guinea. This unit services the surrounding schools, healthcare centre and a local church – all in all up to 2,000 people benefit from the purification system.

All the students love having their own water bottle that they can refill with clean and safe drinking water as often as they like!

With your donation, we can provide more students with a water bottle! Every donation makes a difference.

Our sustainable water bottles help to protect the environment and prevent plastic waste from entering our water streams, rivers and oceans and counter recontamination due to unclean water tanks.
Together with our partners HOPE e.V.we launched a donation campaign to bring sustainable water bottles to students!
Thank you YWAM Medical Ships Australia for working together with us and delivering the first set of bottles to the happy children of East Cape Village in Papua New Guinea.

Help students stay focused in class and keep a fresh mind!

“I want to bring solutions for treating sea water and we can solve it step by step. In the rural areas and the atolls there is no electricity and most of the people live near the coast. For them the affordable solar-powered reverse osmosis plant is ideal – desalination is very promising for these islands. For the main island, they need a water purification machine because the water is not salty – it is contaminated groundwater. So, what we need on Solomon Island are seawater RO machines for the rural areas and atolls and purification units for the main islands – then we can give clean and safe water for everyone!”

Robert Iromalefo is our highly valued and inspiring intern at Moerk Water. His home is Solomon Islands. Upon graduating from his Master’s of Science in Water Treatment and Analysis from Curtin University, he wants to return home and make sure that everyone gains access to safe drinking water.

Thank you, Robert, for all your input and work!

Barbara Brezger (Director of International Business Development) truly enjoyed the UNC Water and Health Conference at the University of North Carolina in the beginning of October. The conference made important connections between academic, government, non-governmental and private institutions. Working together is crucial to make an effective and sustainable impact in the WaSH sector.Only together we can reach the Sustainable Development Goal 6.

As Christian Borja-Vega (World Bankd Economist, Washington DC, USA) said in his workshop: “There is no I in WaSH only W(e)”.
