The 2026 edition of Connected by Water was held at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre. The conference ran across two days: Wednesday the 25th February and Thursday 26th February. Moerk Water Solutions had previously attended the inaugural edition of this excellent conference so were keen to head back.

The conference allowed Moerk Water to exhibit their wide range of sustainable water treatment solutions which are ideal for industrial, municipal and remote contexts. Moerk Water had a stand in the trade exhibition which was well attended. A range of stakeholders visited the stand and were keen to learn more about Moerk Water’s different water treatment technologies to treat surface water, groundwater or seawater. Additionally, Moerk Water’s community seawater desalination unit was very popular with passers-by.

Our Director of Technology, Dr Mat Francis delivered a well attended presentation. The presentation covered a remote biosecure washbay water recycling system that Moerk Water had designed and constructed.  The presentation outlined the harsh environmental conditions that the unit had to operate under. Additionally, the unit needed to comply with strict biosecurity and health regulations. The talk also discussed how Moerk Water were providing the site in question with a solar powered desalination system for potable water production and a distribution network to connect everything together. Decentralised water treatment solutions have become an essential technology for providing remote sites with reliable water supplies and to avoid the expense of water carting.

Moerk Water are keen to attend the next iteration of Connected By Water. Further information about the Connected By Water conference can be found at here.
