The 17th Pacific Water and Wastewater Conference & Exhibition was held at the The Presidency of French Polynesia in Papeete, Tahiti. The conference ran from the 31st August to 2th September 2026. This year, the theme of the PWWA conference was “Living Water – From Source to Reef”. As they do every year, Moerk Water attended this important conference along with delegates from utilities, allied partners and stakeholders from all over the Pacific region.

Moerk Water talked to a range of different utilities and stakeholders about remote water treatment systems. Decentralised renewable energy powered water treatment systems are an important to ensure water security for Pacific Island Countries. Dr Mat Francis, Moerk Water’s Director of Technology, gave a presentation outlining case studies showing the sustainability of Moerk Water’s remote water treatment systems across the Asia-Pacific.

Across the week, Moerk Water met with several with local government representatives and worked with local utilities to find solutions to some of there remote water treatment issues. Many delegates paid a visit to Moerk Water’s booth  during the conference. At the award night, Moerk Water’s stand was lucky enough to win the prize for best Expo stand!
